Wow, they've changed stuff here, have to Google search to figure out how to work the site now. I haven't been on here much the past several years, my brother keeps harassing me about my last journal post. So here, I've changed it. *nyah* Yes, I did get the Larry Elmore book, I did read/look at it, it is very good. 
Haven't had much interest in drawing since my dad passed away 6 1/2 years ago. Ellen Million Sketch Fest keeps me drawing once a month, but I have lacked the oomph to really get into it. Sketches are easy, finishing them, not so much. If you want to see my recent art, go to Ellen Million's Sketch Fest. I don't know why the link won't link to my personal page on there.
I did get into knitting/crochet for a few years, but then I moved, and got chickens...and now all I am interested in are chickens! There are SO many cool kinds! I never knew! I used to be afraid chickens! When I was young and visiting my Grandma on her farm, my cousin told me the chickens sometimes pecked you when collecting eggs. Never thought I'd be a Crazy Chicken Lady. When I moved back home in 2018 my mom's chickens (which she got after I moved out years before) wouldn't let me pet them, so I saw one of the farm stores had a BOGO, and I wanted a chicken I could actually pet...and so it began. (But my first ones didn't really let me pet them.)

I haven't posted a journal entry since last year! Larry Elmore's Big Art Book should be going out pretty soon, I anticipate slowly perusing the pages of that.
I am still involved with Sketchfest, and reached my goal of doing 100 sketches (May 2013), though I haven't finished them all yet. I had to take a break from drawing after all those, also it is easier to start a drawing, much harder to finish it! But ideas are better out than in. The other project I have been working on this year are my Girls and Critters ACEOs; I've found out about some really neat animals in the process of research. You can see all the ones that I have completed on my Facebook art page, and which ones are up for auction on various FB auction pages (so far this includes owls, mustelids, marsupials, canidae, and felide: www.facebook.com/pages/Jenny-H…

BIG, BIG news for any fan of the wonderful Larry Elmore! He has just started a Kickstarter fund raiser to bring us "Larry Elmore: The Complete Elmore Artbook (Hardback)" www.kickstarter.com/projects/1…

I want to make available, through this project, the largest, most comprehensive collection of the very best of my art spanning my full 40 year career. Many of the images I will include in this tome are being re-mastered using the latest digital technology from original film, for unprecedented quality, and several pieces have never before been published or rarely seen. Interspersed among the images I will also offer you glimpses into my studio and creative process, including sketches and preliminaries, as well as share with you my autobiography, my artistic journey, and my stories. I will start from my earliest childhood drawings, and together we will journey through my challenges breaking into the industry and frustrations with commercial art, through my years working in games and on novel covers and ultimately to my latest personal works.
This hardback book will be 9" x 12" and encompass 300+ pages. Now there are stretch goals, he is offering more pages (and we reached that goal!), and next will be a set of 8x10" prints of the original D&D covers he did, and after that an additional Sketchbook collection. If you wait for it to be offered after the kickstarter fund raiser it will retail for about $80, for the fund raiser if you go in for the first level it is $49. HUGE savings! Wow, hard to believe that another year has gone again! It feels like it has been crazy, I did a lot of writing and art, lots and lots of ACEOs for SketchFest. I Broke my record of 40 and did 50 in December! I have yet to finish then due to other things going on, never fear, they will get done.
